Chalmers Studentbostäder offers students in Gothenburg a wide range of apartments, all from one room and a kitchenette to three rooms and a kitchen. Our residential areas are attractively situated close to the centre of Gothenburg and the Universities. We currently have around 1 900 apartments for students and researchers in Gothenburg.

Chalmers Studentbostäder 50 year
It has been 50 years since the Chalmers Student Housing instituted
1950 - and 1960 was a busy period for Chalmers Student Union. A smaller group active in the Chalmers Student Union had the development planned in three stages: first the Student Union Building, followed by food and then dorm. One of the driving subjects, PG Berndtson, an official in the Student Union since 1947. 1952 had about 900 college students and the student union building, there was frantic activity.
Five years later supplemented by the student union building with a restaurant and then gradually expanded the business with another book and stationery shop and several cafes in the area.
On June 19, 1961 was instituted Stiftelsen Chalmers Studenthem.
It was a historic moment when the blast shot rang out on Tuesday 7 November 1961 at Mossen below Guldheden at Gibraltaratan. This implies that it is now underway with the construction of Chalmers Studenthem, which was finished 1963rd
The residence with its 644 apartments were ready for occupation. The monthly rent was 152 crowns - which included both cleaning and linen change. The rooms had a single hot plate for tea and coffee.
