Our hostel is located just a stone’s throw from campus and close to public transport, making commuting both quick and convenient. Here, you are always close to both your studies and the vibrant city life – and when you want to explore Gothenburg or meet friends, it’s easy to get around.

We have updated our stay options – previously, it was possible to stay with us for 3 months, but now you can stay for up to 6 months! That means more time to focus on your studies, create memories, and truly feel at home with us.

Here, you can cook together with your corridor neighbours, watch TV, or simply relax and talk about anything and everything. For students arriving from another country or a new city, it is a great way to make friends quickly – maybe even friends for life! Each kitchen is fully equipped, and you will have your own cupboard as well as your own space in the fridge and freezer for your food.
Spacious & Comfortable Rooms – Ready to Move Into
All our rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, armchair, bedside table, and lamps – everything you need to study and relax. The rooms offer plenty of wardrobe space, and the impressive ceiling height of 4–5 metres makes them feel extra spacious and bright. We provide bed linen and towels, so you do not have to think about bringing them. And with high-speed internet available in both the rooms and shared spaces, it is easy to study, stream, or game whenever you want.
Pool, Sauna and Rooftop Terraces
For a little extra luxury in everyday life, you can book access to pool and sauna facilities through Chalmers Studentbostäder. The facilities are located within walking distance (15–20 minutes) from Holterman Hostel and are included during your stay. There are also fantastic rooftop terraces nearby, perfect for sunbathing, studying, or spending time with friends.
Laundry and Cleaning Without the Hassle
We have a modern laundry room with machines that automatically dispense detergent – you do not need to bring anything. Cleaning equipment is also available, making it easy to keep your room fresh during your stay. When you check out, we take care of the final cleaning, allowing you to focus on your studies and student life instead.

In addition to the hostel and its social community, grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants are located just around the corner. Perfect when you want to buy ingredients for cooking, enjoy a coffee, or meet friends for dinner.
