We invest forward! In 2030, we will own and manage 3,500 apartments, primarily through new production of self-owned properties. Below we have listed our upcoming projects.
Together with the City of Gothenburg and Göteborgs studenters företagsgrupp AB we plan to develop the fringe zone on the west side of Gibraltargatan into a better, more interesting and exciting place for everyone. This by developing beautiful, climate-smart and green buildings. Qi 2021 detailed planning work started with the City Planning Administration.
Akademiska Hus is developing a large detailed paln area on Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg. The area includes a student housing block – MIRA. Akademiska Hus cooperates with Chalmers studentbostäder regarding student housing. Akademiska Hus has started its planning and our assessment is that a first stage involving extensive infrastructure and procurement of contractors can start Q2/Q3 2026. Akademiska Hus and Chalmers Studentbostäder are now working on drawing up an LOI, with the aim that Chalmers Studentbostäder will sublease the property MIRA from Akademiska Hus. The entire MIRA student housing project is expected to be ready for move in by the end of 2028 at the latest. The project will result in a varied range of apartment types for students.
We plan to build between 350-400 apartments in a climate-smart and green project with a nice desigh at the main entrance to Chalmers. Planning continues from January 2025. Preliminary construction start is expected Q1 2026. Preliminary completion of the entire project is estimated for Q1. 2029.

We plan to exploit the student housing area at Emilsborg with new student apartments inside the yard, without removing the existing qualities of the yard. The City of Gothenburg, in collaboration with Chalmers Studentbostäder, has decided to move the start of the plan to the year 2025. Preliminary completion of the project is estimated for the turn of the year 2028.
