Apply for housing (applicable until 1 April 2017)
NOTE: The rules and information below are applicable until 1 April 2017.

Waiting list via Boplats Göteborg
We advertise vacant apartments via Boplats Göteborg and use their waiting list system. You can register on the waiting list when you reach the age of 17 but you are not eligible to receive an apartment until you have reached the age of 18.
Registrer as soon as possible because it is accrued number of days on the waiting list that determines who receives an apartment. Read our Tenancy Rules carefully and keep your Boplats profile updated.
Both a member and a co-applicant
You can be registered as a paying member on Boplats which at the same time being a co-applicant with someone else.
When do apartments become vacant?
Of our 2000 apartments, approximately 600 become vacant each year. Most apartments become vacant in the period April-July. All our apartments are advertised via Boplats Göteborg, mostly on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Only a small number of apartments are advertised on other days, for instance, in the event of a late cancellation.
Waiting list
We currently have a waiting list of 2-3 years for our housing. When you receive a tenancy contract from Chalmers Studentbostäder you still retain your original registration date on Boplats Göteborg. You need to have lived in an apartment for 18 months before you can apply for new housing at Chalmers Studentbostäder.
Who receives a contract?
The applicant with the highest number of days on the waiting list who has accepted an offer to view the apartment is offered a contract. Prior to signing a contract, we carry out a credit check. Applicants who do not fulfill the criteria based on the credit check will receive a rejection message and will not be eligible for a contract offer.
After you receive an apartment from us you will not be eligible to apply for other housing from us for 18 months.
Signing the tenancy contract
When you have been offered a contract on Boplats, contact us to arrange a time to sign the contract. Tenancy contracts are usually signed on Thursdays between 16.00 and 19.00 at our Enquiry Office. You will need to show identification, certification of registration at one of the universities, and a receipt for paid Student Union fees.
