New queuing system spring 2017 (Gammal)

New queuing system spring 2017

During the spring of 2017 Chalmers Studentbostäder will be switching to a new queuing system. This means that our apartments will no longer be rented out via Boplats Göteborg but via our own free of charge queue on our website.

New information will be added to that stated below as decisions are made.

Timeplan

The change will take place successively during the year in accordance with the following preliminary schedule.
• Rental will be via Boplats up until 30 March 2017
• From 1 April 2017 new rental rules will be introduced and rental of our apartments will be via the new queuing system on our website, chalmersstudenbostader.se.
• During the transition period 1 April – 1 July new transitional rules will apply which means that those of you on the current Boplats queue are entitled to use some of your queue points in the new system.
• From 1 July the new rules and queuing system will be fully applicable.

New Rules

Due to the fact that we will be implementing our own housing queue, the rental rules will also change. Work to determine the new rules is underway, and the result will be published on this website by 1 January 2017 at the latest.

You can use some of your points from Boplats

Those of you who are in the Boplats queue can use 365 points from Boplats in our new queuing system.

Keep your place in the Boplats queue!

Even if your primary goal at this point is to get an apartment at Chalmers Studentböstader, it is important that you also keep your spot in the queue at Boplats. There are other apartments available for rental and you may need your queue points in the future when looking for housing.

How much does it cost?

It is free of charge to register and be on our housing list.

How do I apply for housing at Chalmers Studentbostäder?

Up until 30 March 2017 you register on the Boplats Göteborg queue. From 1 April 2017 you register on our housing queue on this website. Work is currently underway to build the new system and we will publish more precise information relating to registration at a later date.

When can I register?

The date is not yet set, but according to the preliminary schedule registration for our housing queue will open on 1 April.

Greater opportunities relating to our own queue

Having our own queuing system will open up many opportunities and will enable us to adapt the queuing system and rules to best suit our own needs and the needs of our tenants.
We hope to achieve a smoother and more efficient renting process.
We can also keep track of how many people are queuing for student housing, which is necessary for the planning new production.
