1. What is IMD?
- The consumption of household electricity and hot water is measured for each apartment.
- Each apartment is equipped with its own meters.
- You pay for household electricity and/or hot water outside of the base rent.
2. How does it work?
- You only pay for the household electricity and/or hot water you use.
Before we have measured your consumption or if measurement values are missing, a fixed amount (standard) is used. - Adjustment takes place two months after the measurement.
- Have you consumed less than the standard?: deduction on the rent
- Have you consumed more than the standard?: addition to the rent
- Addition to the rent 25% VAT is added.
3. Why IMD
The advantages of IMD are that it can help you save money by being aware of your consumption. It is also good for the environment as it encourages reducing unnecessary usage.
Payment & Billing
How do I pay my invoice?
You pay the invoice as usual. Household electricity and/or hot water are charged on the same invoice as your rent.
Will the electricity and hot water costs be on a separate invoice?
No, all your costs are shown on the same invoice.
Where can I see my electricity and hot water costs?
You can see this on your rent invoice. Currently, it is not possible to see your consumption.
One of our goals is for you to be able to track your consumption.
How much will I pay? This is a question we cannot answer as it depends on your consumption.
The base rent, furniture, internet, and the fee to the tenants’ association will be the same costs every month.
What happens when I terminate my contract?
On your final rent invoice, we calculate a cost based on your previous consumption. You will not be billed retroactively.
