HSB Living Lab (Gammal)

Do you want to live in an exciting, dynamic and totally unique environment? If so you will probably thrive in the HSB Living Lab.

During spring 2016 the HSB Living Lab will be completed on the Johanneberg Campus. 29 student apartments will be ready for tenants to take up residence in June 2016. We will be opening the expression of interest application in February/March.

What is the HSB Living Lab?

HSB Living Lab is a living lab which is unique in the world. It is a residential building for 30–40 students, guest researchers and doctoral students in the centre of the Johanneberg Campus. The building is intended to house several people during a longer period of time, while at the same time the entire building is a research lab for sustainable housing of the future. There are other living labs throughout the world but none where so many people live permanently for such a long period of time. In the HSB Living Lab research moves in with the tenants rather than the tenants moving into the lab.

What can you expect as a tenant her?

Can you imagine living among measuring equipment, doing your washing with friends in the foyer and having some of the world’s leading researchers running around in the building. If so HSB Living Labs student housing is for you. We are not going to conceal the fact that this is going to be a very special form of housing. However, if you want to live in an exciting, dynamic, modern environment where you can also establish contacts with students, researchers, and business interests – yes, this is the right place for you. Your behavior and the experiences of the research and tests will provide us with invaluable input for the development of future living.

Who will live in the HSB Living Lab?

We are currently working on setting criteria and conditions applicable for housing in the HSB Living Lab. We will be publishing more information later on in the spring, so stay tuned!

HSB Living Lab – expression of interest

We have not yet opened an expression of interest application for the HSB Living Lab and our intention is to do so in February/March 2016. If you wish you can send in your email address now we will get in touch with you as soon as the expression of interest application is open.
