1. Broadband – Fast and Easy Internet
For Most Addresses
Chalmers Studentbostäder provides all tenants with high-speed internet at 1000 Mbit/s via our own fiber network.
With a fixed IP address and IPv6 support, you can get started simply by plugging a cable from your router into the wall socket.
If there are multiple sockets, test which one works.
At the following addresses, instructions can be found in the electrical cabinet or wardrobe:
– Uddjaur (Gibraltarkroken 4)
– Nålskäran (Doktor Forselius Backe 6)
– Gibraltargatan 84–92 (newly built section)
– Gibraltargatan 78 (instructions in the wardrobe instead of the electrical cabinet)
How to get started
If you are a tenant at Kapellgången 1 or 6, you won’t have access to our internet. You need to sign an agreement with Framtidens Bredband. To get started with your internet, please visit their webpage.
When you sign an agreement, you need to state the number on your media box and not your apartment number.
On Framtidens Bredband’s webpage, you can read more about their services, answers to commonly asked questions and how to contact them.
Report a fault
If you encounter issues, you should contact Framtidens Bredband directly.
2. TV – Flexible Subscription Options
No Collective Solution
Tenants are responsible for their own TV subscriptions, which gives you the freedom to choose the package that suits you best.
Traditional wall sockets in some apartments have been out of service for several years.
Instead, you can watch TV online via your computer or smart TV.
3. Technical Information – Stable and Secure Network
Our fiber network is connected to SUNET (Swedish University Network) via two redundant 100 Gbit/s links.
This ensures high speed and security.
The network equipment includes upgraded switches and routers from Juniper Networks (2021).
It is connected to a redundant 10 Gbit/s backbone network between our buildings.
