We at Chalmers student housing are aware that as a new student there can be a lot of question marks like this at the start of the semester. Therefore, we have collected some tips that may be good to think about both as a new student and as a resident with us.
Register in our housing queue
Have you not managed to find housing yet? Don’t forget to register in our housing queue today. You start collecting points in our housing queue immediately. We publish available apartments here, usually on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can find more information about our housing queue here.
Activate your membership in the student union
When you start studying, it is important that you activate your union membership at Chalmers or Gothenburg University. Student union membership gives you as a student several benefits such as access to student discounts via Mecenat or the student card. In addition, it is important that you have an active union membership in our housing queue as it is required to collect points. As a student at Chalmers you collect 2 points per day and as a student at Gothenburg University 1 point per day.
Home insurance
Have you perhaps got an apartment with us, or are you in the middle of looking for housing? Don’t forget to have home insurance from the day your tenancy starts. You can find this via e.g.:

Remember that there may be student discounts on several insurance companies.
Apply for an e-invoice
