Idyllic location on the shortest street in the world.
The location is the idyllic area, Guldheden, on a street that is only a few meters long and has only one single number. Welcome to Blåelden and the shortest street in the world: Dr Wigardhs gata 2, named after Doctor Thora Wigardh who fought for women´s rights at the beginning of the 20th century.
Blåelden has the best possible situation high up on Guldheden, close to Chalmers University of Technology and within walking distance of Gothenburg City Centre. The building has four floors and all the apartments and the common areas are of minimalist design. Wireless Internet connection is available in all common areas. On each level there are couches and armchairs, perfect places to get together to study.
Blåelden was inaugurated in October 2004. The area consists of 89 apartments ranging from 27 to 49 square metres. There are five apartments for the disabled on the ground floor.
