Q. What should I do to obtain accommodation through Chalmers Studentbostäder?
A. All our apartments will be made available through www.boplats.se (Hint: register with boplats as soon as possible).
Q. When can I register and apply for an apartment?
A. You can register as a user when you are 17 years old and apply for an apartment when you are 18 years old.
Q. Is the accommodation furnished?
A. We only have unfurnished accommodation.
Q. What should I do if I want to view an apartment or room?
A. Please see the following web page areas for more information, more detailed information will be made available shortly.
Q. Am I required to study?
A. In order to stay on in student accommodation, you must study at a university or college in Gothenburg and enrolled as a member of its students´association.
Q. What communal areas are there?
A. Please see the information on each residential complex.
Q. What public transport is available to and from the student residences?
A. Please see the Västtrafik website at www.vasttrafik.se.
Q. Is smoking permitted?
A. Smoking is permitted in your own apartment, but not in communal areas.
Q. What about pets?
A. Pets are accepted so long as they do not disturb your neighbours or damage the apartment. Certain pets are not allowed – please check with the management.
Q. How much is the rent and what does it include?

Q. How many months is rent payable for?
A. 12 months each year.
Q. How much notice is required when leaving student accommodation?
A. The normal period of notice is two months.
Note: Notice must be given in writing.
Q. What is the Council of Trustees?
A. The Council of Trustees is a tenants’ association that works for the residents at Chalmers Studentbostäder. As a tenant you automatically become a member of the Council of Trustees.
The Council of Trustees negotiates your rent levels each year and has regular meetings with Chalmers Studentbostäder to discuss improvements in the housing areas.
