Construction of 100 new student apartments on Gibraltargatan
2010-01-04
Due to the current lack of housing and the high demand Chalmers Studentbostäder is going to
construct 100 new student apartments on top of an existing building. It is estimated that the first
stage of the project, consisting primarily of modern two-room apartments for couples and friends
will be finished during 2010. At the same time we will be renovating 300 apartments.

Earth Hour 28 March 20:30 – 21:30
Sydney, Beijing, London, Los Angeles, Moscow, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Malmö are only some of the 1858 cities in 81 countries that have currently signed up for Earth Hour – an international campaign comprising individuals, companies, schools and municipalities that will all turn their lights off for a full hour on 28 March.
By participating in Earth Hour we are showing politicians at the UN’s coming climate meeting in Copenhagen that we want tougher climate demands and climate legislation. Chalmers Studentbostäder will participate in the manifestation by turning off outdoor lighting at Gibraltargatan 78-94 on 28 March between 20:30 and 21:30.
We encourage all our tenants and co-workers to participate by turning off their lights and signing up on www.wwf.se.
We hope that we can all participate in this simple action together!

Minor rent increases at Chalmers Studentbostäder from 1 January 2009.
2008-11-26
Chalmers
Studentbostäder and the Council of Trustees at Chalmers Studentbostäder have reached an agreement relating to rent levels.
This
agreement has been reached in accordance with negotiation procedures established by the two parties. In accordance with the agreement rent levels for apartments will be increased by 0 – 1.5 %. The municipal companies in Sweden completed their rent negotiations today and their rent levels will be increased by 2.75 – 3.6 %
Mandatory
fees such as network
and cable TV fees, remain unchanged at 140 SEK respectively 40 SEK per month during 2009. Council of Trustee fees remain unchanged at 5 SEK per month.
As a
professional property manager it is important to adapt the organisation and work actively with cost efficiency and we believe that we have succeeded. In spite of generally unsettled financial times and increased prices and salaries we have succeeded in minimising rent increases through active cost management.
In particular we have been cost efficient in areas that have a negative impact on the environment, such as heating and electricity. We have also reduced administration costs. For further innformation please contact me on 031 772 39 39 Joakim Wallin, MD

Regarding the fires
2005-01-13
A man has been taken in to custody, suspected for causing the fires at
Gibraltargatan during the christmas holidays. He will be charged.
It was at about half past five in the morning of December 23rd, that
the alarm came regarding 3 fires at Gibraltargatan. It was in the
service areas of houses 82, 84 and 94 that someone had set fire to
electrical equipment, which caused heavy smoke to develop. Two of the
fires were put out by alert tenants, and the third one died out by
itself. Luckily, no person was injured.
Chalmers Studentbostäder urges all tenants to make sure they know
the location of the nearest fire extinguisher, and to keep hallways and
staircases clear from bicycles and other objects. All this to maintain
an as secure living environment as possible.

Chalmers Studentbostäder scores highly in customer survey
2004-11-16 Regular opinion surveys are conducted among
tenants of student residences, with a view to finding out their
opinions of their accommodation in order to produce a customer
satisfaction index. We are pleased to say that Chalmers Studentbostäder
scores highly on all counts. What is more, we have improved our
performance since the previous survey.
